Details to follow
Full-time schedule
During the taught part of the course, full-time students attend two full days per week as well as one Friday afternoon tutorial slot. In addition there are various events and workshops running throughout the year. Time spent reading for and preparing coursework takes a considerable amount of further time, and students should generally try to avoid taking simultaneous paid employment during at the first two terms.
During the report phase, students attend weekly or fortnightly supervision sessions with an allocated supervisor, and most work is self-directed study.
Part-time schedule
Part-time students take one full day per week for the taught component of the course. Usually* part-time students attend Mondays during the first year, and Thursdays during the second year.
Part-time students also attend either a lunchtime or an after work tutorial slot every other Friday.
During the second year, there are additional short workshops and study components for the units outside the Thursday sessions, and part-time students should discuss the time demands with the relevant unit tutor, Ava Fatah gen Schieck or Ruairi Glynn.
In addition to the standard taught components, part-time students also take one optional workshop per year, either physical computing or generative components.
* If preferred, part-time students may reverse the order, with Thursday sessions during the first year and Monday sessions in the second year. Please discuss with the course director if you would prefer this option.
