Marilena Skavara
Embodied and Embedded Technologies and Digital Ecology
Marilena Skavara is a London based architect. She is also a registered architect in Greece. She is dedicated to well-designed projects from architectural and urban design to industrial design and graphics.
She has participated in several international competitions and has worked on residential and interior design projects as a freelancer. One of her particular interests is that of creating experiential spaces and in exploring the possibilities of evolutionary approaches in design, using genetic algorithms.
Her latest project ‘Adaptive fa[ca]de’ was exhibited at ‘Digital Hinterlands’ exhibition in London in fall 2009 and published in ‘Passages Through Hinterlands’ book which featured projects of leading graduates and young practices.
